Class Paintovers

A couple paintovers from this semester. It's always an interesting challenge to take someone else's art and scribble on top of it. I have no idea if it's helpful, but it's always fun for me.

The first was line art by Amber Catherall; I painted on top of it to show the class how I started a painting. The second was drawn and painted originally by Steven Glauser---I did a paintover in this case to show how to unify a color scheme and how I'd render the forms in the face and body.

Link

This isn't done, but it's been two weeks or more since I posted last so it's time to post whether I'm ready or not.

I was on vacation at my in-law's house, and I asked my nephew what he wanted me to draw. He chose Link from Zelda, so I did this.

In other news, my wife found video evidence that babies and maggots are virtually indistinguishable from one another. If you have kids, you already knew this was true.
