I've been working on a bunch of different things, and I can't seem to finish anything. One of these days I'm going to have a lot of new art to show, but for now you'll have to settle for cropped previews.
Oh man! Are you working on your book? Is that what those are from? I am really excited about that thing, assuming that is what you are doing. Other than that: great variety in styles. Keep it up, I always look forward to your next post.
I am working on it, but it's very slow going. Some of these images are supposed to fill roles in it, but I have to do many, many such images before I will even come close to finishing.
Don't get me wrong, I am cool with you taking your time to finish that book. If it takes you another year but the illustrations in it have greater didactic value I will celebrate you even more for taking the extra time and effort to put in it. I am convinced most people share that sentiment.
There is too much half-baked and badly researched stuff being published every day. One of the downsides of the rise of desktop publishing is that everything is made faster and easier and as a result, less care is taken of the end product. While DP has greatly improved the way books look and made them a lot cheaper to make, too, it has also led to a decline in content quality.
I am really glad you take an approach that ensures quality. Best of luck with it!
Hah yeah I guess these will do... ;)
ReplyDeleteAre these sneak peeks of some future projects of yours, or just "doodles".
The light is awesome as usual!
Thanks for sharing.
A mixture of things. Thanks for the compliment!
