I nearly forgot to mention, my new Schoolism class is having a special self-taught sale. Since it's early in the class there won't be many critiques available to watch yet, but for anyone who wants to dive into the subject right away, go here:
http://www.schoolism.com/school.php?id=29
The sale ends Nov. 19.

I am taking this class currently, and can say the lectures are a thing of beauty. Sam is a world-class teacher, and if you want to learn the ins and outs of digital painting, its well worth the money!
ReplyDeleteThank you Josh! I'm glad you're liking it!
DeleteCouldn't agree with you more, though it should be added: if you are not experienced in digital painting, better take "Fundamentals of Lighting" first, since "Lighting for Story" requires you to have at least a basic grip on things like shading, light and color interaction and shadowcasting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benjamin! You're totally right, I've been talking to the Schoolism guys to make that more clear on the website. As it stands right now, I'm helping a couple people through the technical problems they're running into, but it's not as good as being able to talk about the technical aspects of light and shading in depth.
