Character design doodles

I wanted to give people a peek at how I develop my character designs---lots of drawings, writing ideas in the margins, thinking about how to tie the look of the character to his/her personality and purpose, developing the costume designs, etc.

This is for a personal project I'm working on (mostly for fun). 5 points for anyone who guesses the project, 100 points for guessing which version I'm doing.

  4. Great sketches; looks to me like it could be Sleeping Beauty but it definitely has a Cinderella "feel" to it. Either way I hope your doing one of the original versions of the fairy tale.

  5. Love your designs! I'm guessing it's Cinderella, and since it looks kind of Frenchy, my vote goes to the Charles Perrault version.

  12. Thank you everyone for the comments! A few people guessed right with Cinderella, but nobody knows the version still. I'll give a hint: it's a performed version, but not with words.
