I wish I could post more, but I'm so busy at work right now. But here's something I did in our figure drawing session. It was meant to be a caricature, but I think I ended up normalizing him too much as I painted over the drawing.

WOW, excellent job . . . still a caricature . . . the body's more realistically porportioned . . . . nice job! IF you don't mind me asking, I'm just starting to learn how to use painter, I was wondering what brushes you like to use?
ReplyDeleteI think its great. I really like when pictures blur the line between characature and realistic styles.
ReplyDeleteYou are the man Sam!!! Awesome job
ReplyDeleteThis is phenomenal Sam! I really, really like it. by far my favorite "from life" to date!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteJason: I mostly use a couple custom brushes---one of them is the 2B pencil with the method changed to cover, and the other is one that Ryan Wood made. I think my favorite brush straight out of the box is the Captured Acrylic, although it runs slow if you get it too big.
