I'm still depressed I couldn't get a copy of your book. Hopefully you print some more. A lot of people at Microsoft Games are huge fans. So keep being awesome. Also about the painting, could it have something to do with the back half of her ribs and back hip? They are a little shapeless and it seems to flatten out right around there. Thanks for everything man.
You are so good with rendering of lights! I saw about the schoolism lessons, looks really appealing!!! I could use it so much! But for me it s costs just a bit too much so I will wait for that book hehe... Do you think they will release the videos of the lessons afterwards? So I can buy those a little more cheaper???
Thanks for the usefull learning tips all over your blog. Really helps me alot.
Shoulders seem a little large for her torso and neck. The face is fine (in my opinion) since its a woman of Asian decent and they tend to have flatter faces. Also that little line defining the back of her neck seems to throw off the perspective of the cranium...but still looks awesome I wouldnt have noticed if you didnt say anything!
Sam I´m your fan, you have an amazing work, the tutorial that you made are awesome, if you don´t mind I´d like to hear you critics about a piece of work that I made following your step by step of Jedi´s painting ... here´s the link: http://daywalkerrr.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2wejhg

ReplyDeletecongratulations
It's like you exaggerated the angles of the head, hair and face, but by the time you got to the legs, everything was sorta normal?

Beautiful colors, but I think what feels off is the face, the perspective seems a bit off . . . .?
ReplyDeleteYea, probably the level of stylization is just not constant.
