This was for an exercise I did with some of the other concept artists. We were supposed to take an animal, find an appropriate personality, and push the caricature a bit. I want to do another where I push the caricature further, but I was happy with it anyway, considering I did the whole thing in an hour.

Aaah. Sooo pretty. In one hour. I think I'll kill myself.
ReplyDelete" considering I did the whole thing in an hour."
ReplyDeleteDon't nice little boys like you learn not brag and be prideful in Sunday School? Hmmmm?
I push caricature hard ALL the time; it's called Not Being in Control of Your Line.
Heather: The hour comment is a little misleading, because I spent almost an hour the previous day doing macaw studies. You'd be surprised how much a head full of pertinent knowledge does to speed things up even when you're starting from scratch.
ReplyDeleteK: If I'd learned not to brag or show off, I wouldn't be keeping a blog now, would I?
Your work is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOne hour!! Very impressive, it's really great!
ReplyDeleteGreat color and composition!
ReplyDeleteThis is AWESOME. It reminds me of my blue and gold macaw "Big Sexy". Total attitude.
ReplyDeleteSam! I can't find the comment where you told me what settings you use for the "Nielson Brush" in Corel Painter! I had to reinstall Painter and I lost the formula and now my digital paintings suck even worse than usual, help!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteCyree: I think that post is on "The Art Center" blog.
