Sam, I’ve seen a lot of the digital figure drawings that you post. These are great and very inspiring to me. I’m just curious on how you physical set up your computer and tablet. Do you have a table in there to set everything on? Do you sit on a couch or something?
Proportions and lighting are truly masterful! The only suggestion that comes to mind target the lower legs, even with foreshortening these look a bit too short compared to the rest, If it would be done traditionally I´d say you´ve started with the head and at the bottom was not enough space. Because the work is rahter stylized, it would benefit the figure if the legs were even longer than in reality. Other than that I´m a big fan of your work, keep it up!
Wow, Sam! Your work is amazing and inspiring (and thanks for posting so frequently). It's great to have access to such awesome examples, and in-depth thoughts on principles and facets of the never-ending subject of art.
Very Beautiful. I hope you post more of these. I've always loved your figure session paintings.
