Stealing Apples

Done for a Friend article.  I wanted to try a different render style, but looking at it now I wish I would have done something more with the drawing style as well.

Interesting. As I look at this, I'm thinking - yeah, Incredibles - but not Friend. Then I realize that keeping kids interested means changing graphics over the years - which it has taken the church a while to realize, I think. I still love the Julie Young stuff - but this is the kind of art kids who participate in the present culture will be drawn to. You have to be careful, as you pass 40 and head into the frightening wilderness beyond, that you realize your inner compass of cultural "appropriateness" is not going to be knee jerk anymore -

This is fantastic, I feel bad how dark the final image printed. Be sure to check your levels before sending it in. Dark color just don't print very well. Bumping the brightness +80 would have made this sing on paper. (Also i have found making sure your mode is set to CMYK before you send to make sure you don't lose your subtle greens. Those blasted greens don't print well either.
