Color exercises

      Photoshop. I don't even open Painter anymore unless I need to use the symmetry tool or something like that.

  2. I love them . That bird has great subtle color variations and the hints of warm background yellow peeking through the sky adds life.

  6. I was wondering, how do you get the dappled color effect in the shadows? Are you using a "rake" type brush in layers, with a little dodge and burn?

    1. Josh,
      For these pieces, I was switching between different colors while using a dapple-textured brush. I used selections to constrain the dappling to specific areas.
